The First Appointment
What To Expect On Your First Visit
Subjective Assessment: You will be asked a number of questions about your injury and medical history. This ensures that both you and the physiotherapist are on the same page going forward.
Objective Assessment: This includes different tests to assess the limitations caused by your injury. This will enable the physiotherapist to determine which exercises are appropriate for you.
Treatment Plan: The physiotherapist will discuss the diagnosis with you to ensure you have a clear understanding of the root cause of the issue, how it likely developed, and what the treatment plan is going to be.
Step-By-Step Guidance: If needed, you will be guided through an exercise programme.
Question Time: You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your injury or the treatment plan, and the physiotherapist will then provide manual therapy or dry needling as necessary.
