Pre / Post-Operative Rehabilitation

If you've recently undergone orthopaedic surgery or are planning to have one soon, it's important to prepare yourself for the post-operative recovery period by starting a pre-operative treatment plan. While the surgery itself may be the primary focus, the recovery period is equally important to ensure a successful outcome and gain the most out of the operation. This is where Oleg at Monageer Physiotherapy Clinic comes in to help you get back on your feet with a personalised rehab plan.

Post-operative rehab is a crucial part of the recovery process after an orthopaedic surgery. It's designed to help you regain strength, flexibility, mobility in the affected area, and most importantly - confidence. I will work closely with you to create a rehabilitation plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. I understand that every individual is different, and I always take a personalised approach to your care.

It's important to note that resting for an extended period after surgery is not recommended. While it may seem like the best course of action to allow your body time to heal, it can actually have negative effects on your recovery. When you rest for an extended period, your muscles become weaker and atrophy, making it more challenging to recover when you actually do start rehab. Therefore, it's essential to engage in post-operative rehab as soon as possible to avoid these negative effects and get back to your pre-surgery level of activity.

All my post-operative rehabilitation programmes are designed to help you regain strength, improve flexibility, reduce pain and swelling, and restore full range of motion. I use a combination of exercises, stretches, and manual therapy techniques to help you achieve your goals. Rehab and recovery is not always a comfortable process, but we need to get the body moving. Some discomfort, pain and tightness is normal but it is absolutely vital not to overdo the exercises - do them correctly as shown by the physio and do not push or force the exercise through pain.

I understand that the recovery process can be challenging, both physically and mentally. But I am here to support you every step of the way. I will provide you with guidance, motivation, and encouragement to help you stay on track and achieve your goals. The ultimate goal is to help you get back to doing the things you love, pain-free and with confidence.

At Monageer Physiotherapy Clinic, I take pride in providing individualised and high-quality care to all clients, and I am dedicated to helping you achieve optimal physical health and well-being.
